Liquor Cabinet Privacy Policy
Liquor Cabinet is built and operated by Matt Lewis, an independent developer. This policy describes what the app collects and what happens to it. The short version: your data exists so the app can work, it isn't sold or shared for advertising, and you can delete all of it yourself at any time.
What is collected
- Email address and password — used to create and sign in to your account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plaintext.
- Your content — the bottles you add to your cabinet.
- Photos you submit for scanning — pictures of bottles you choose to scan to identify spirits. Photos are used only to produce the scan result and are not used for any other purpose.
Liquor Cabinet collects nothing else. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, no location tracking, and no data brokers. The cocktail catalog is browsed anonymously — only your cabinet is tied to your account.
AI processing
One feature sends content to Anthropic's Claude API: bottle photos you scan are read by AI to identify the spirit. The photo is processed to return a result to you and is not used by Anthropic to train models under the API terms we operate under. No other third party receives your data.
Where your data lives
Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers and the D1 database) and always transmitted over HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete Account); this immediately and permanently removes your account and cabinet from our servers. You can also email us to request deletion.
Children
Liquor Cabinet is about cocktails and spirits and is not directed at children. The App Store lists it with an 18+ age rating.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the change described here.
